depends on what side of the car you are on while under it. put your wrench on the passinger side and pull down. make sure the wheels cant spin freely or else you will never get it done. i used a screwdriver to keep the driveshaft from spinning and spinning the wheels. remember all you have to do is get the 4 bolts off where the driveshaft bolts to the diff and remove the carrier brackets 2 bolts and slide the drive shaft out the transmission.

ohh yeah and be sure to drain the transmission first or else you will get gear oil everywhere when you pull the shaft. and be really careful with the carrier bearing bracket bolts. i messed mine up and stripped the holes and had to buy a one piece driveshaft but it was worth it to upgrade to an aluminum ds...lol.

yeah put your wrench up towards the floor board on the pasinger side and pull down, its going to be hard, might want to wd-40 them bolts and get a pipe to put on the end of the wrench to use it as a breaker bar.

Easiest way to put it: Lefty loosey, righty tighty. Look AT the head of the bolt, turn left.

i have a little POS floor jack and i cut the rubber off the end of the handle and used it as a breaker bar. there has got to be something handy around to use. if all else fails then move the wrench so you can hit it with a hammer but be sure to hold the wrench while your doing it you so dont knock it off or mess up the bolt heads. i remember the first time i took my driveshaft out it took forever to break the bolts loose, all that road grime and dirt build up over the years makes them thing seem like they will never budge.

Get a 3/4" breaker bar, an adapter, and an impact socket. Done.

OMG people, lets make things way more difficult that they should be.

Step one: Get a normal 14mm (or 12mm I can't remember) wrench.Step two: Lift rear end of car and prop with jack stands, or be stupid like me with just a jack on diff.Step three: E-brake.Step four: Put wrench on nut.Step five: WHIP OUT DAT MUTHA F***IN 3lbs SLEDGE HAMMER AND BEAT THE SH*T OUT OF IT! No, seriously though. It takes like 2-3 mild/light hits on the wrench to break it loose. From there it's like butter.Step six: Let off E-brake, turn wheels, repeat Step five.

Sledge hammer is the key. Takes me 10 minutes by myself to drop the driveshaft.

I hope you are trying to break the nuts loose and not the bolts, because the bolt heads are not able to spin due to the casting on the drive shaft...just making sure, I tried to loosen the bolts before, it didn't work out, haha.

Nah, I just stopped being stupid and pulling things as hard as I could when I eventually broke it loose and ripped my hand up... underneath my work glove... along with a giant bruise.

But having an impact is better anyways. Less chance to strip.

Idea I used like once:

Lift up car, put jack stands in, place the wrench and use the jack to turn the wrench for you. Get it positioned and with free hand jack it up.

Only did it once and it worked.
