So a couple weeks ago i found out i had a radiator leak, i work at pennzoil and my boss is a mechanic. He recommended i get this ceramic cooling system seal from the local auto parts shop, and follow the directions, they will be pretty specific. So i did, I drained the rad, put this stuff in, filled it up with water, ran it for 2 days, drained it, let it sit overnight (i just let it sit for 8 hours while i worked) and then i filled it back up with coolant.

On my way home she started to overheat, so i took it back to the shop. When i took off the rad cap it practically exploded in steam/coolant, and what do i find? Big chunks of ceramic crap in my radiator. So, this keeps happening, more chunks, and more overheating. We flushed the system once, and are going to do it again, until i get it all out, i'm just afraid it might break my water pump or thermostat. If I cant fix it I'm going with my boss back to the store and we're going after that company who made it. Any ideas of how to fix this, these chunks of ceramic are everywhere?

cheers

Radiator stop leak is junk. Never use it. It's like cement. The crap flows through the system and seals any cracks you may have, but a crack can only hold so much of it. The rest just flows with the coolant and then starts to harden. After this it can start hurting more than it is helping (ruptured hoses, more crackes/holes in raditor, etc)Remove the t-stat and flush the system well. Put it all back together and make sure you bleed the system or else you will keep overheating.

Don't use any of that crap in your cooling system. If the radiator is cracked/leaking, simply replace it. It's not cheap, but the problem is fixed. Now your heater core is probably gonna crap out next, and that bugger is close to $300.
