Need computer help

Sorry guys i don't really know much about computers, but i downloaded this initial d cartoon from here http://a.scarywater.net/live-evil/ and when i play it in windows media player it just has the sound but now picture, i downloaded DIVIX from Kazaa and it won't let me play it in that. For those of you who know how i can watch this cartoon on my comp can you please help me out. Thanks

you have to look at the format that it is in... ie: .avi or .divx and you have to search for the CODECs that are for that particular format so windows media knows how to play it... hope that helps.... also you might jsut want to look for "windows media codecs" or "divx codecs" in kazaa

codec problem... Use a program called G-Spot to see which codecs you need...

Or you can install a Codec Pack (I like the Kazaa Lite Code Pack)

hey which codec did you download? cuz I gat the same problem wit my initial D...I should've asked too lol

i beleive you need a torrent codec or player. i had to get soemthing liek that before to watch some videos

i downloaded divix then when i started it, it asked if i wanted to download the newest version, which i did and it works on that. but when it didn't work i think it said i needed codec "xvid" or something like that

just download Video Lan Client, it plays almost every type of video there is. Also .avi is a container, I don't believe that .divx exists, and XVID is a mpeg-4 codec similier to divx. There are two versions of xvid that I know of just google it, I think the keopi xvid codec works best. Then again VLC works on almost everything....
