Got the new clutch installed on my S13 and everything. Now just was left was to bleed the clutch system......didn't work. Went out and bought a new slave cylinder......still not working......what else could there be left to do to get it to work right and get pressure back in the system???????? Any help will be appreciated.

umm...fluid?

are you bleeding straight from the slave cylinder? or are you bleeding from the dampener block as well? since i have never had a dampener block (the joys of installing your own clutch system), I'm not certain if you have to bleed that first before you can move onto the slave

Got fluid....

Drained the block too. Now with bleeding the system, do you have to let all of the fluid leave the system, while lifting up and down on the clutch pedal or what? Asked the parts store, Nissan dealer and done what they said and it's not working...I'm lost.

i've always bled clutch hydrolics just like brake hydrolics. i start with bench bleeding the master cylinder (if it has been emptied or is new). Then I move on down the line. The best thing I can say is that whoever is pumping the clutch pedal will have a VERY tired leg by the time most of the air is out of the system.

The first stop in the hydrolic system (the damper block) will atke forever to get most of the bubbles out. Especially if the line is new.

My only advice is to make sure that you have all the fittings on the line secured and to just keep pumping air out of the system. The last clutch system I helped bleed was on a Z32. That took forever and my leg felt like jelly afterwards.

I understand that and will keep trying. About pumping the clutch pedal though.......it's to the floor and doesn't pump. I either have to lift it up or down.????

yes. you will need to physically pull it back up with your foot. when i've bled clutches, the line will find enough pressure to pop the pedal back out on its own near the end of the bleeding process
