k im replacing my turbo for SR T25 right now and so far it looks like i have to take the exhaust manifold off with it to get it off

i read the FAQ and am confused by what to get

Exhaust manifold gasket 14036-D4200 (EXA 1.8, S13 CA18) Four separate pieces

Turbo Manifold gaskets -> head:

14036-D4201 (x2)14036-D4202 (x2)

or does the 4200 consist of the 4201/4202 together?

and is there any way of getting the turbo off without the manifold?

those "plates" hold the bolt from turning. You have to bend them up and out of the way to turn the nuts. I would suggest removing the entire manifold, as its 10000000000x easier than trying to pull the turbo alone with the motor in the car

i jacked the motor up by putting a jack on the oil pan, but i used pillow like material in between the jack and the pan so no damage.. and then i got under the car and i got to the bottom bolts very easily.. i did cut some knuckles though due to the tight space.. but it works. use gloves though incase you dont want to draw blood good luck!

I wouldn't recommend jacking up the motor by the oil pan... I would jack it up by the front of the transmission (bellhousing area) as that is alot stronger and won't break or dent, and will still raise the motor up. Make sure you loosen the motor mounts before jacking it up though. I was able to jack mine high enough to remove the oil pan in the car using this method, so it should get the engine plenty high enough

Yea, I was gonna say the same thing. Don't ever jack the car up by the oil pan. It bends way too easy.

none of the oil lines are banjo fittings. That is a coolant line, and there are 2 of them.

19mm socket and socket wrench. Perhapse even a regular 19mm wrench? I'm not exactly sure what you mean. I know they are hard to get to, but just un screw them. There isn't any trick to it.
