I asked this before and i searched, but i only found the Tophat intake manifold, i was supposed to buy the "box" intake manifold, but i was douped and looks like i wont be receiving money or item any time soon, i was wondering if anyone with minor welding experience is willing to make a intake manifold for my rb25, the thing is that i really cannot afford to spend over 350 for it, i got tons of parts i am willing to trade for it, in addition to the cash, i am very desperate here, please hit me up asap if anyone is interested. also i am basically just looking for a front facing intake manifold

How about relocating the stock TB to the front of the uppper plenuim? That is cheap and easy to do.

why do you want the TB relocated to the front or an aftermarket plenum at all? the stock intake manifold flows the best and wont lean out any cylinders. its good up to 400hp so why would u even want a side intake manifold unless its for show?

i got piping RIGHT on radiator by going with a front facing i can get rid of like 4 feet of piping the stock intake mani was designed with a smic not a fmic down the line i will eventually get a awesome manifold like RIPS or NRG performance one but for now i will just get a upped phlenum, u gotta live within your means

What is the purpose for this manifold? If you just want something front facing with terrible flow, take the upper manifold to a fabricator and have them relocate the TB flange to the front. That will be the cheapest way to lose horsepower. But seriously why would anyone waste their money on some square manifold or anything other design for that matter, that has horrible flow characteristics. Please for the love of god people just save up for the greddy or rips manifold or just stick with the stocker.

the extra few feet of piping really wont hurt that bad. you might have some longer turbo response but its better than leaning out some cylinders.

yeah thats when ur first getting the turbo spooled. but after u have the turbo spooled up it makes no difference. going through gears is as fast as before. but you will notice the extra lag in 1st gear.

I would go with rips and NRG intake manifold (rbtally) I just cannot afford, between college, and bills, tickets, and other work i need done to my chassis such as rust and i wanna get stich welding done. I do understand the importance of doing something proper the 1st time. Also i want upper halve not the upper and lower, the greedy runners are way to short. aside from getting the stock one made into front facing, the next thing would be rbtallys mani which i wont be able to afford till AUGUST if im lucky, most i can muster now is like 600. and thats with gods blessing... heh life is sooo stressful

Well I for one want to put my FMIC on and there is not way to get the pipe back over to the drivers side. I have seen some car run the pipe between the radiator and timing belt cover but there is no room for that since I have the R33 mounts/crossmember. I have always figured that any manifold with a front facing plenuim would cause cyl's to get lean. But the more I think about it why is it the 2jz runs a single front facing throttle body with no leaning out issues? And the RB's making the most HP on stock bottem ends have custom pleniums that are front facing. And the 240 in MD that runs 10.6's on stock bottem end using a custom upper plenium on the stock lower manifold. He is running an SDS fuel system that doesn't even have individual cyl fuel trim. We are going by what the Aussies say by flow testing the manifolds on a bench. But no bench test will give the same effects as all 12 intake valves opening and closing while air is being shoved in them.I say do a front facing plenuim and keep the A/F ratio safe 11:1-11.8:1 and you will be fine.

awesome, i will just do this, if i can get a custom upper halve i will do it but i will TRY to save for rbtallys manifold
