2003 QX4

Just got a fixit ticket, so I need to take care of my CEL. To do so I need a evap canister (vapor canister). Not the valve, just the plastic boxy thing.
I've found it for $180 or so and I'm hoping someone here knows of it for less.

Second, what struts should I use to keep my "Cadillac" ride quality? I don't do much off roading at all and just love how much smoother the QX4 is compared to a Pathfinder.
What brand/model should I get?

Cheapest place to get a water pump? Mine is leaking out the little overflow hole or something and I'll need a new one.
Recommendations?

Thanks everyone!

Courtesyparts I found to be the cheapest

Get oem nissan shocks if you want to keep it oem, or KYB gr2 seems to be the best comparable, more affordable second option

I just changed out my struts and shocks w/ KYB gr2's from Amazon -- I paid a little over $150 for all 4. If you have not replaced the rear shocks I would do it at the same time - they are not very expensive. My local muffler place installed them all when I had them do the exhaust system.

The strut bellows on both of mine were shot -- so they were an additional $!2 each -- but I did not need to replace any of the bushings or top bearing. I did not have a failure -- but I could tell they were a little soft at 120k - so that is why I replaced mine. From all reports the only way to go is to use Nissan OE strut bushings as even the KYB units do not hold up. I figured I would take the risk and not order the new bushing online for $120.00 and wait and see how mine looked when we took the struts apart -- mine were fine.

KYB is the OE maker of the struts/shocks - can not say if the GR2's have the same exact damping rate as the OE Nissans do and it's been too long to remember since new in 01 -- but they are not too soft or hard -- the same feel as the OE in my mind. Its interesting that you find the ride different between the Path and the Qx4 - I drove quite a few Q's a few months ago when I was thinking of replacing my Pathfinder and they felt the same to me? All 02's and 3"S

Good luck
