why wouldnt it work. They work perfectly fine. Unless you got some crazy project or doing something special that truly requires a Manual ECU.

um they're both the same thing, only difference is that the Auto ecu removes some limiters because of the Automatic Transmission. Lots of people on here are running Automatic ecu's on 5spd. Shoot I was gonna do it but I went standalone before even testing it. KA and SR people are doing the same thing. The only chance your gonna take is if the ECU is DOA or not.

It's not about low-balling, but I don't like to give people the impression that deals like that are the norm. The cheapest I've spent for a CA ecu is $50 and the most I've ever spent on a CA ecu is $599 (JWT special in 1999 or 2000). But the normal price for a CA ecu is anywhere from $65-$150 depending on who wants to pay what. Finding a good one is the trick......

sorry for not responding, i've been sick

ok... now, do you have the stock chips for that ecu, knightrider?

and also, $40 for fedex ground seems wayyyyy high to me... i'm not trying to sound like a *****, i just work w/ fedex everyday and seems to me like the shipping should be way less than that. i don't need it fast, so i don't need express shipping on it.

what zip code are you shipping from?

<well, i saw you're in sd, i just don't know where... i got a fed ex quote from 92108 to me, by ground, was 5.99. that was a 5 lb item, in a 6"x6"x6" box. which is probably a bit big. anywho, just wanted to throw that out there>

$40 Fedex is very correct, trust me! FedEx, UPS, and USPS overnight stuff have gone up. And even if he was charging $40, you're still getting it cheap.

yes, i know i would still be getting it cheap, but (like i said) i deal w/ fedex every day at work, and i know i can ship something 7 feet long for 30 dollars.

so

http://fedex.com/ratefinder/sh...=true

5lbs, 8x8x8, $100 value = $5.99

w/ fedex, sometimes you have to add around 10$, but that would make it $15.99, so i dunno where $40 came from...

anyways, i just need an ecu, and don't want to pay sooooo much for shipping

He's talking about FedEx GROUND shipping, not overnight. So screw all that. USPS Priority Flat rate boxes. $8.05 anywhere in the US, Puerto Rico, APO and Guam regardless of weight.

Also, I sent a set of Altima fans in a 48x36x10 box halfway across the country UPS and it cost me $28. No way in hell its $40 FedEx ground. Sounds like those ebay scammers.

wow, you guys suprise me everytime i come on this forum. i guess ppl just decided not to read the part where it said "PRICE WITH SHIPPING for fedex 2day is 50$, 40$ for ground" so heres a little basic math, 30 + 6 for ground shipping + 4$ shipping materials = 40 ok heres another one. 30 + 15 for 2 day air + 5$ shipping materials = 50 i rounded up to the nearest 10 to cover my materials, and to make it easy. yep, really sounds like a scam to me. im not making any money off shipping. all im pocketing is 30$. i could have easily sold it for 3 times the price, but im just trying to help out the community. i always get screwed for being the nice guy.

knightrider: please accept my apology for skimming your response and not catching the part about that being the total. wasn't trying to come across as rude, just misunderstood what i read, because i skimmed... i'm not trying to screw you or make anyone mad, i just misunderstood it...

so I AM still interested, now that i know it isn't "plus 40 or 50"

sorry *kicks self*

My bad, gents! When I saw the $40, I automatically assumed it was to be shipped overnight because I've had a few members wanted stuff shipped overnight and some came up to nearly a 40-spot.

I apologize too... I only read the last couple responses above mine which were eluding to a $40 shipping charge FedEx ground. $40 shipped is a totally different story....
