Are you sure the ECU is fried? What code is it throwing? have you tried pulling the cover off the ECU to see if the board is burned anywhere?

In answer to your question, no, a pulsar ECU won't work.

ok float this is what happened i had gotten an maf and wired it up i started the car and it didnt have a fuel cut it reved happily towards the 7 mark and i was like yes its fixed. then the intercooler piping came off i took the maf off and went over all the piping tightening them them i was being careful because i didnt want the maf to fall.then i hooked it up again wired it back up and crossed the wires by mistake started it back up fuel cut was there again. i got another maf and the same thing i have about 4 mafs at home including one off of an ca18de motor neither works. i checked the ecu for codes and it kept on showing the maf and detonation sensor (where am i supposed to wire my detonation sensor to which pin on the ecu ) so what would you suggest

You've burned your AFM circuitry! You're headed in the right direction, you'll need a new ecu. I have one, but I'm not giving it away for crack-head because these are starting to become rare just like the harnesses.

a CA18DE ECU WILL work, IF you get it re-chipped with a DET rom, which it sounds like you had done already anyway to have a different MAF.

I am currently running a CA18DE ecu from a U12 bluebird with no worries

I did it myself, therefore: $$free

Im sure you could fix it, so long as you knew what as fried, and hopefully it wasnt inside a chip

yeah, noone has sent me cash yet for teh PFC, so its still for sale

another option, if you chip yourself, is snag an SR ecu and plug... rewire and burn a chip

i remember somebody on here was doing that already

or buy my powerfc
