I have a 1994 convertible (Black), I'm changing it to a 5 speed and newer engine with a turbo.I'm taking it off the road for maybe a year or two and stripping down completely and rebuilding from the ground up.It runs great now and I have had it for 5 years but I need a hobby and I thought that would be fun.Any ideas on engine & transmission best match is appreciated.Cheers. Sorry I missed this thread.. .

There are a lot of choices available for engine swaps.. SR20det is the most popular. RB20det/RB25det/RB26dett are also popular. CA18det is a great choice as well.

Like the above poster said... KA-T is a fantastic choice!

In fact.. if your engine is running well right now.. I'd just turbo it rather than swapping in a new engine completely..

If you have access to RB parts, RB26DETT would be an awesome swap.

KA-T would be another good option if you have a low mileage car or are going to completely rebuild the KA.
