I'm new to the forums and I have 2 questions.

First:

I'm located in Glendale at Luke AFB and I was wondering if anyone knew of any performance shops in or close to my area

Second:

I think I am having an issue with my clutch or my clutch is going bad because every time I shift and hit the gas, it feels like the clutch is grabbing late and its been getting worse. So what would be the recommended way to have this problem fixed? Should I go to the dealership and get a quote or should I try to find a performance shop and see if they are cheaper?

I just bought the car from a private seller in October and he said he still had the powertrain warranty until January so do you think the clutch could be under warranty? I already have an issue with the cd player going out and I know thats not under warranty anymore.

If anyone can help, I would gladly appreciate it.

Hey man, welcome aboard.

First off, if it's under warranty, I like Peoria Nissan for diagnostics. Take it in and have them tell you what's wrong. If it's under warranty, cool. If not, then we know where to start.

Clutch sounds as simple as a bleeding issue. However, G clutches are notorious for short life, so it COULD be nearing the end of its life. My tech was amazed that I made it to 65K on the stock clutch.

West side of the Valley is tough for performance shops. Most of them are all on the east side.

Well I called Infiniti and its going to cost $120 to do the diagnostic and I got a quote about a new clutch and clutch installation and it will cost $2200 so I hope its not the clutch entirely.

I went to the dealership today and they said that it was the clutch and just the clutch kit alone was over $1000 and thats not including installation. I found a fidanza clutch kit for a little over $700 online and I found someone in my unit who can do clutch installations so I might just go that route instead. Thanks for everyone's help.

Why not hit up one of our clutch sponsors?

If I remember correctly, I got a better clutch for my G for less.

Where do I find the clutch sponsors at?

Also,

Someone in my unit found a spec clutch for around $400 but it does not include a flywheel. What would be a better route to take? Should I resurface the flywheel or buy an entire clutch kit including the flywheel? I found a couple clutch kits including a flywheel online ranging from $500-$750. I found an ACT Heavy Duty for around $550 and a Fidanza carbon-kevlar for $700. Does anyone have any suggestions or can help me find a place or website for a good clutch kit for a good price?
