Hey guys, im new on here and ive just came into a lil bit of money 2,000 to be exact and my ? is i want to get some coilovers but i dont know which ones to get, theres so many of them. Originally i wanted to get some tanabes for drifting but i just recently ran in AutoCross and i loved it so now i want some coil overs that will kick *** in auto cross and every now and then go out and drift. Ive read some of the posts that say that the k-sports are exactly like the D2's but i dont really like the yellow orange color what ever it is, now i know thats probabyl a dumb reason to not get them but who know maybe i will after you guys give me some suggestions, Like i said above i have 2,000 to play with but i dont really want to spend more then 1,700 but depend on the responses that i get from yall i might just change my mind. Thanks again guys

...if they still made them.

get tein flex if you want to do the autox thing, tein super drifts for the higher spring rates.

there's a ton of brands to choose from, do your homework before making an impulse buy.

just make sure you get something with dual adjustment, pillowball mounts, decent spring rates, etc.

Tein Super drift would be the replacement for those, seem nice..too stiff if you aren't really pushing the car or running R compounds, in all honesty.

Good point. You could get the KTS and then sway bars and new bushings and still spend less than $1700.

my vote are for tein flex. Its good for autox and great for daily driving. Also the teflon coating helps against rust.

I run Tein Ha's and I think they are pretty good. they are height adjustable and you can adjust the dampers too. If I were you I wouldn't spend all your money on just the coilovers, try to have some money saved over for other things such as sway bars, sticky tires if you dont have good ones, rear upper arms (for camber), maybe some subframe spacers, and lastly an allignment at a reputable shop.

go drive your car some more before you go dropping a lot of money on it. it seems like you are pretty impulsive / impressionable if you totally change the plan for your car after going to one autocross.

I second that silkroads are awsome.
