The swishing and whistling noise is probably intake noise. This is normal, though I didn't notice it until after I installed a JWT/Z-tube intake. If you don't like this sound, DONT get an aftermarket intake!

When your in gear, and let off the gas, the G's transmission shimmies a bit. The dual mass flywheel is to blame-but this is normal. However, grinding is not normal, and should be looked at if it starts.

Shut the car off with the clutch up, and listen to the sound. Now do it with the clutch down...sound should go away. Flywheel.

Welcome to NICO!!

I agree with Joe. Pay attention and see if there is any grinding, if so, get it looked at ASAP!

Geez I wish Santa got me an 07 for Chistmas!

The vibrations are from the flywheel. It can also make slight clanking sounds (drive-through windows are the best place to hear it).

I'm not sure of the benefit to having a dual-mass flywheel...seems to be a pain in the butt!

Any thoughts NICO mechanics?

Any pressure on the clutch will cause disengagement to some degree, and thus slipping and glazing of the clutch surface if it is not totally disengaged, thus necessitating it's repair sooner rather than later.

As for the whistle, have the dealer check your vacuum lines as it is still in warranty, I presume?
