I posted this in the correct forum, but I need a quick responce since I have an appointment early in the morning.

OK so this past weekend I installed Tein coilovers on my coupe. I have an appointment at Firestone tomorrow morning to get the alignment done. I left the coils are the height Loop had them at when I bought them from him. It looks as if it's at similar height as the eibachs (No Porblem for me). I'm going to get the alignment done and would like to know if I drop the car down in the future if my alignment is going to be affected or not since I got the alignment done at a different height? I hope you guys know what I'm asking. Any help is welcomed. Thanks in advance.

I would have to say yes. I just got an alignment yesterday and just from the eibachs my rear toe was way off, I got some pre-mature wear on my rears because I didn't get an alignment sooner. The coils can probably go twice as low as the eibachs so if you do lower it more I would get an alignment just to be safe.

if you always go firestone for alignment i recommend you get their lifetime alignment plan.. 150$ or so (guarantees you alignment for your vehicle as long as you own it) compare to people pay 50-80$ per visit. if your car was previously stock and now running on coilover or aftermarket spring you might want to look into Camber kit. as your stock camber is not sufficient enough to keep your lowered car running in a straight line.. im not sure if i answer your question or not haha .. but im sure someone will fill me in.

Yeah def do that lifetime plan. I went to the dealership and it was $99 for front a rear alignment. I only did that because I don't trust the local shops with my A34s and I waited extra long so their master tech could do the alignment. I told him to be super careful and he totally understood and was real cool about it.

Yes, you need to get an alignment anytime you adjust ride height unless, for example, you change it for a day and put it back to the EXACT same height.

If you're thinking about lowering it in the future, I would hold off on the alignment. Speaking from personal experience, I went about 2 weeks initially with coils and no alignment and had no camber / toe wear. I also went 2-3 weeks when I adjusted my height for the new wheels with no alignment and no tire wear either. But if you can get a lifetime warranty, do that like RC said! But if you plan on going really low, then firestone may refuse or you may simply not be able to use their alignment rack

Idk if what devilmagic said was because you're boosted and you put down a lot of power, but I haven't had any issues going in a straight line with negative camber of about -2.5. But getting a camber kit is a good investment (for trying to go more positive or more negative), like Devil said!

Show us some pics! You haven't posted shots of your car in a while now. And also update us when you drop it further!

BTW negative camber isn't the enemy (unless you're really against the look). Toe is what really wears down tires. Get your toe in spec and you're golden!

Thank you guys for the advice. I bought the Firestone lifetime alignment package when I first installed the Eibachs. My alignment wasn't bad at all even after I installed the Eibachs. I'll try to get more info from the guy at Firestone tomorrow when I go. The Alignment tech is the son of my wifes co-worker so he's real cool with me. Another question is where can I get a GREAT/GOOD quality camber kit? And Alex I will post pics when I drop the car. I really haven't had time to do anything. I've been busy with running my company and haven't had a day off in damn near months. I'm only 25, but sometimes I feel like a 60 yr old :chuckle: . I told myself I was going to take more time off for myself and my wife. I need a VAYCAY. Ok here's my plan... Europe, Miami, Bahamas, NYC, Hawaii and then back home  .

Thank you guys for the great fast info. :bigthumb:

Is firestone's rack lift low accessible? I'm just curious of how do the manage to work on a slammed car.

I might have to check in with them soon to get my alignment as well.

Pretty Ricky has the cash huhh!?

SPC rear camber arms for a 350z/g35 will work. No one has found a solution for the fronts other than camber plates.

"Pretty Ricky" Come on dude. That's wrong :nono: . Thanks for the info Alex. I'll look into the rear SPC camber arms for the 350z/g35. Now what brand and where can I buy GREAT/GOOD quality front camber plates?

LOL =]

Camber plates usually come with the coilovers. Some coils come with them, others don't. And I'm not sure if you can swap them out or buy them separately. Maybe try contacting Tein?

Just got off the phone with Tein. At the moment they don't offer camber plates for the front or rear camber arms for a 350Z or G35. They do offer them for the previous altima though. My Alignment went great. He said it was perfect and wouldn't be a problem to my tires at all. The printout looks great and it's within the OEM ranges. He also stated that the alignment wouldn't be affected at all if I dropped the car lower or slammed it :naughty: . So at this point I think it would be pointless to buy either of these kits you know :yesnod .

Wow thats great news! I'm still learning also so I'm not saying what he said about dropping it further not affecting alignment, but that's a first for me. Regardless, glad it all worked out and glad you don't need the kit for the time being.
