Well I have sold my Couple about a year ago. I just got me a 03 Sedan!

I need alittle help sorry if this is question has been ask before! I try to search but no luck!

well here I go

what is the widest tire size I can put on my stock 17 without being over kill or is too thin (which make the car show more miles then it really has)!

Would all couple 18in + fit without problems since its stega?

I have seen people put M wheels on, is there certain model I should stay away from or all of them will be fine?

sorry my english is not too good, I am working on it!

With regards to the 17" tires.

Go to tirerack.com. Select your vehicle, then when it shows you the factory size, go to the bottom of the page and select optional tire sizes.

They normally recommend tires that are within 1% of the original tire height.

The coupe wheels should fit, but you won't be able to rotate (front to back) anymore due to the staggered fitment (wider rear wheels and tires).

The M rims should fit as well since they are non-staggered and the offset is within reason.

Let me know if you're interested in a set of M rims. I think my buddy at the local infiniti dealership has a set of chromed M rims (18") for $800.

The widest 17" tire to run safely is 235/50. The coupe wheels fit fine, but the tire sizes are a bit jacked up when compared to the oem tire specs. I ended up running 235/45/18's on the coupe wheels and fitment was ideal. No rubbing in the rear when lowered compared to the oem coupe tire size in the back of 245/45/18, which is a bit to tall. The 225/45 the coupe uses up front is a bit short. Plus the added benefit of rotating your tires with 235/45/18 and almost identical oem tire specs. The M wheels work as well, but they have a pretty weak offset and require spacers. The coupe wheels aren't staggered sizes, just the tires are staggered. The 19" rays coupe wheels are staggered and they work great as well. The 18" rays track wheels from the 350z are a very good choice to, very light and thats what I have on my sedan.

Somebody really ought to email G_Whizz or Joe about doing a write-up for this wheel thing. It would be nice to have all the info, by year and body type, from 2003 to the current Gs. There seems to be quite a bit of interest in wheels in this forum.

Isn't there at least one set of Coupe 18's that aren't staggered wheels?

I'm really tempted to get the 08 19s and put them on my 05. Those are very hot. Not a big fan of the current rays I have on.

Golly Gosh, now I'm really feeling bad about posting that. Maybe I shouldn't have cut and pasted that same post into the 240 and gen chat forum either.

I'm just trying to be a good guest here. (is Jack Allaboutwheels a member here too?)

I don't have pix. My wife would kill me for dishing out that much cash for my NICO buddies lol.

I'll call my buddy at the dealership and ask him if he still has them and if he can send me pix.

The 7-spoke 18's that came on the coupes and sedans are 18x8 all around. The tires were staggered though, creating a wider and taller wheel/tire assembly in the rear than the front.

Nope, only the 17" coupe wheels were staggered and 19's.

Yeah I will check out this part of the forum more from now on. I work has a Nissan Tech at a Nissan Dealer but I am clueless about wheels and tires! I will try to help out has much has I can even if I have to ask someone at my work!

Well I have took out the Coupe 18in option. I have try to take my wife S14 rims and mount it on today. it does not look right to me.

RED_DET

I love the way the 350Z track wheels look on your. My work has a set will try it out tomorrow!

I just don't think my stock wheels look enither Lux or Sport! I love the 5 spoke stock 17s but I have never found a set yet!

there is 3 G35 at my work used car lot right now. a 07, 06 couple (it has the forge wheels) and a 07 S. they all are going to the auction so I might be able to offer alittle money on the rims and give them my. I have seen 1 person did it! I think I will go for the 06 Couple wheel or the 07 S, did not like the std wheels of the non S!

the way I look at it if I am going to spend 700 on tires I mind has well pay alittle more and get rims!

The M wheels are very hard to find! If I have gotten this car 2 month early I could of pick up a set for 300 (I know that was a Killer deal! he well from 1000 to 300 because no one wanted it)

Well I just went for the Coupe wheels since I only had to pay 200 for them! LOLbut since I got so much tires at home that I took off of Zs!I first try to put 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 in the rear!let me tell you that is the most stupid set up ever for a sedan! the front look so small that it looks like its a 15in wheel and the tire looks like its came off of a low rider! So I am rideing on all 4 245/45/18 BridgeStone RE040s, The car drives like night and day! it handle so much better, ride is alittle more firm, the car feel so much more soilded on the road when driveing by 18 wheels on the Highway..best invastment I got in my G so far!

tollboothwilley

I just went out side to look to see would i245/45/18 on coupe 18s fit if I were to lower my car. Depend on how much is lower. But I dont think the tire with fit under the fender and 1/4s if its lower more then 1 -2 inch! I will post a pic here tonight or tomorrow if I can find my D/C!
