Post

Hi,

I have thought about not posting this for a while because I think know the right answer. I just want some advice about getting a car.

Ever since I saw a 96 240 I fell in love with them. But that is besides the point. The real issue is this.

I need a car.

I have been strongly thinking of getting a 96-98 240 for months but never had the money. I found some really good low mileage deals too but still I didn't have enough money.

Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wait till July and get a tC or wait for a while till I find a good low mileage 240.

The reason for low mileage is I want to make sure it lasts me well past college. And I think that a new car would be more cost effective in the long run.

What do you guys think about this situation?

Oh this would be my third car and my first that I can call my own in almost 2 years.

Thanks in advance

The 240 is gonna break. It happens, your timing chain guides will go. Expect to replace them no matter what the milage.
