I almost suggested commuting on the R1 but then I remembered you live in south Florida.

It's 9 years old, 109k on it, it's a DX, and it's still 2k cheaper than the other comparable Civics online at $4500. $2,000 you're gonna end up with an already high mileage undependable car that needs work before you can even drive it.

Really... How do you figure? Considering my civic hatch gets 38mpg and i have way less than 2k in it I don't buy this line of thinking. I have had this honda for 2 years. Before my last one got rearended and totalled I drove it for probably closer to 5 years. It sounds like the guy knows his hondas pretty well. Pick up a 92-00 civic or similar year teg and daily the piss out of it. Maintenance expense is nothing on older hondas. If they do need it it is CHEAP! If you blow a motor you are out a days labor and $400. The Gas mileage plus lower fuel cost would pay off the car over 40000 miles. Not to mention if he did get a closer job a civic will always sell for 2k as long as it is in decent shape. If you get tired of driving the beater put a few miles on the G. If it were me I would buy and daily a civic or teg most the time but still drive the G on the long commute every once in a while.

Have you tried to buy a Honda lately? They have MPG tax that's worse than 240 drift tax.

The Thunderbird is the wife's dad car. He had to sell it cause divorce so I didn't wanna see it leave the family.

The triumph was a buddy of mines in high school.

I've had the Acura since high school (I'm 27 now)

The chevelle was a good price

And that's the end of the good stories

It might guzzle gas in comparison to your other vehicles, but whenever your G needs service, it'll work. Plus if your wife's commute is shorter and she can drive the big Ram, then you could use the TL on the mega commute on those days and save on gas.

then the 'teg could be made into a nice track day car at your leisure. :dblthumb:
If I lent the wife my Ram it would come back with so many dents it wouldn't be funny.......

It sounds to me like you already have a daily in your collection (the Integra) Why not just grab that and daily that if you really don't want to put miles on your G? I'm pretty sure they get decent mileage, high 20's? If it's stick I don't think it would be a boring car to drive either.

yes. I also buy 240s. There is always a deal to be had, sometimes you just have to spend time looking for it. I bought my Kouki for 2800. My 00 civic hatch is clean as hell, I paid 600 for it and it needed a trans. Tax is there only if you are stupid enough to pay it. :wavey:

What kind of work does it need done? 45 minutes isn't that far, plus I would think it would be better than just buying another car outright.

It's frying ECU's and I don't know why (thinking just bad ecu's) and then it needs routine maintenance but the trouble is finding time to get out there.
