need advice

well my dads friend has a 240sx that he will sell to me but wants to much and teh car is in bad condition.

1989 240sx-has a HUGE dent on the roof, on front part, im scared it might be frame damage bc on 240sx the roof is part of the frame. also it needs a muffler bc he doesnt have one, the interior was alright except for like it was pissing the cutton covers on the power windows, and lil stuff liek that, then the paint is fadded, and the back right tailight has a hole in it.and it has 163,000 miles on itand the sunroof is glues shut since it was leaking

he is asking $1200

i said no

i was going to offer him $600

I understand i will never be able to sell this car bc of the **** but i really want a car and the 240sx will be fun to drive and it will teach me to drive a rearwheel drive car.

Offer him 500 bucks and part it out if you can't fix it. You should make enought money to get a good 240.
