So i lifted my car up to do some work when I heard the sound or air blowing and fluid dripping on to the floor. I found that my rear driver side shock was leaking so bad it made a nice sized puddle on the floor.

The car won't be moving for a while. However, I'd like to know how bad it would be to drive with the busted shock until I can afford to pay for a replacement or even an upgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it doesn't bind/bounce/bang to the point of causing instability you should be able to drive it.

When I first got my J30 several doughnuts killed the passenger rear strut and being a softly sprung car with a posi it would dribble that tire like a basketball every time I made a slow turn but didn't cause stability issues at speed. Within a month of blowing the strut I parked the car, while deciding its fate a new series of road racing was "invented" and the rest is history :see my name:
