Hey guys I recently bought a 00 infiniti g20 touring no motor or trans but my dad bought me a VQ35DE the full set is it possible to fit the engine in my infinti g20 I saved up $2000 dollars. Do you guys know what I need to fit this engine in the bay. My father fixes up nissan sentra , maxima and altima 90-95. So we are currently working on this car if the swap does work after that is possible to put in a 4wd drivetrain? please reply or email me at maxmarte16@aol. Im only 17 with a valid NY permit.

Welcome aboard!

First off, the '00 G20 is a great car - I owned one, and I miss it.

The VQ swap HAS been done. However, it's NOT going to be cheap, even if you already have the engine and trans. In reality, it's a lot more weight in the nose, for not a lot of gain. You'd be better off selling the motorset to someone who wants to fix a blown-motor Z or G35, and go find a SR20VE.

There'a a TON of info here about it, and with the right mods, you can get pretty close to VQ power... for a LOT less money. I paid $600 for my SR20VE (several years ago) and it ran awesome.

Okay Thank you for replying Ill go see if my father can get me that engine . I have recently got it repainted midnight blue for a very cheap price for $1000. My goal is push 500 hp and 450 torque this will eat most turbo sedans. If I cannot get that motor . Then ill sell it with the original motor for $3500 only 91k on engine and build a 92 Nissan sentra and build vq35 swap with closed 4.9 gear ratios all motor 350 hp my cousins Honda civic 92 hatch k24 300 hp will be defeated by Nismo ! 11.5 bracket quarter mile

Homework first then work with my uncle in the grocery store till the weekends and work on the sentra with my dad how much would it be to tune a transmission ratio to a 4.9 with a top speed of 130? Guess the car will be finish by spring break maybe summer take it to the English town in NJ I smell the rubber . Btw my dads mechanic should have the sentra by next week in the garage with clean title fresh dark pearl blue . All I have to is get a carbon fiber trunk, carbon fiber hood and black te37 volks 16s. Also my big brother is going to see from top level performance is they get the best cams
