Hello my name is Michael and I’m looking for thoughts ideas and advice I own a pearl white 1995 S14 I swapped a SR20DET into it myself but then sold the sr20det swap awhile back.

To get to the point I was hoping to ask you a few questions and hopefully get a few thoughts from you all. I still have the 1995 240sx and the body and Interior are in excellent condition however I did sell the SR 20 so it’s just been sitting as a shell in the garage. My wife has been complaining about it for a while now and I think I’m prob going to be selling it but I wanted to ask you a few questions about what you thought I should do before selling it.

Since selling the sr20 out of it over time parts her and there have been taken for other projects it’s missing a few things like radiator ac compressor drive train/ shaft. Prob others I’m forgetting about .

I’m wondering if it would be worth it to get it back running before selling it as just the shell the car is in great condition one of the cleanest original body’s I’ve seen but to get I’m going to need a good bit of parts but the main thing would be Engine, transmission, drive shaft. I don’t know what S14s are selling for these days since I haven’t messed with these cars in a good while.
So I don’t know if it would be worth it to find a sr or ka to get it running before selling it.

I do however have a full S14 SR20DE (non turbo) motor, trans, ecu, and wiring harness. The harness has already be spliced together to run with my 95 S14. The SR20de Was purchased from a local shop who specializes in Nissans by a friend of mine and he never installed it in his car and he ended up trading it to me for a stock Ka, I also never installed it in my car. It has been sitting in my garage for about 8 years. Its been in doors the whole time but I don’t know what if anything could happen to a motor just sitting there that long (Anythoughts) overtime between me changing parts and stuff I’ve removed a few of the bolt on components of the sr20de engine which i would have to find and replace I would also like to go through that engine to make sure it’s in good enough condition to use. It’s been stored inside but I would like it to be gone through before being installed into the car just to make sure everything is ok with it. What are your thoughts on these engines? What would I have to do to make sure it’s useable Ive not ever had to tare a motor all the way down so that would be a first for me and I don’t know where to start any advice would be great. I would add pics of the car and motor but don’t knkw how to do that on here if some one could tell me how that would be great to thank you all

all i can say is if you are selling it as a shell its not going to sell for more than 1500 unless its a kouki, in that case you could get alot more

I'd probably just sell it as a shell and get rid of it. You rarely get anywhere near your money back on modified stuff.

I have a running 1995 Nissan 240SX with front end damage from hitting a deer. I'm also trying to decide what to do with mine. All I need is a hood, front bumper assembly, and passenger headlight assembly. I'm having a difficult time finding salvage front end parts myself, so I'm sure you can probably sell the shell easily if the front end is in good condition.
