tomorrow, i will be finishing my project on my ka24et, and i just need something to tune it with. i have an safc and an electronic timing controller laying around somewhere. i have a t3/t4 turbo, stock internal, 550cc injectors and i'm planning on running about 9 psi. evrything is stock. what kind of tuning/management do you guys suggest? i'm on low budget. thanks.

Retard your base timing 3 degrees run only 93 octane+Get a wideband and tune for a 11.5-12.0 under wot.. The smoother the better. If you plan to up the boost in the future. Sell me the safc for $150 And buy and enthalpy ecu tune. $500. Controls timing and everything no worries. What I have in my car right now. It's programmed for z32mafs and 555cc injectors

My friend have just the solution for you. Some may not agree to this but I have done it on two SOHC's and it worked perfectly. And thats called home rom tuning.

First take your ECU open it up, and remove the 28pin eprom chip thats in there.

then go to HEREAnd buy that zif socket and solder it in place of the eprom you removed.

Then go HERE, and buy two of these chips.

Then you need an eeprom programmer that you can get HERE

Now go to http://www.hybridka.com and read read read, then you can even download already premade tunes and BIN files that you burn on the chip. I have a tune on there made for 550cc injectors, stock maf. The tune is a lil on the rich side with a really good timing map. I ran between 250 and 270rwhp on 8 psi with my GT32.

thanks for the advice. i spoke to couple shops out here, and they said that the safc and the sitc should be fine b/c they already have a wideband 02 sensor on their dyno.i guess i'm going to be take it there as soon as i get done. thanks for all the help.
