I don't speak inches but go with 45 profile if you are 17" that's about right. 225-235 all around? Check offsets...

Tires I personally love:

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 for the win.

Other great tires:

Yokohama Advan Neova and Michelin Pilot Sport 2 (PS2)

Price is worth it, and the GS-D3 are a killer deal, the best tires you can ride on in wet and still feel as if you are on dry... and also one of the best cornering, response, traction and grip tires for the dry you can get. I am currently running these, they are AWESOME. I blew one of them (my fault), by having some idiot deflate my rear left and driving 140/kmhr (!!!) for about 40-50km maybe more, only to realize my tire was 'deflated' (think about it... WTF?! I didn't even feel it?! It's that good a tire). Then I had it re-inflated and went to crappy tire (canadian tire) to get it fixed.. unfortunately the extensive driving damaged the tire beyond repair... but thank God my wife and I are alive... but that should tell you something how good this tire is. Currently for the moment as a spare I run a ****ty federal GT something tire (the cheapest one could get and I still got ripped off at crappy tire but I needed a tire urgently...) My point of this story is, gs-d3 = amazing in all sorts of ways AND... safe and best bang for the buck AND right now without that 4th GS-D3 and that ****ty federal tire temporarily running.. my car STILL kicks *** in corners but I can feel a difference... that crappy federal tire really sucks ***.

And that's my story

Go to tirerack.com for awesome deals (its online but its very good quality service)

With tire sizes you want to keep the overall wheel/tire diameter assembly as close to the factory diameter. The middle number in the tire size is just a percent of the width to give you the thickness of the side wall. You will have to do some conversions, but it's not bad. Do the math, that's the best way to decide what width and section width to get. Check the stickies for some tire math info.

I have had kumho 712s, yokohama es100s, falken ze512s, and now Goodyear gs-d3s. The Goodyear is in another league compared to others I have mentioned, but you pay for what you get. I am assuming you are deciding between the azenis RT615 and proxes T1R. I think the T1R may cost a little more, but from what I have researched the azenis have more grip and responsiveness. The T1R looks like it would do better in the rain if that matters to you. Maybe check out the Hankook z212 for comparable grip and handling for a little less.

Im always reppin' my Khumo MX's, simply because they are the best tire for the price. The are a great compromise for an extremely grippy street tire. I cant justify spending anymore than $125 a tire for my daily...

hankook rs2 has surpassed the MX in the performance per money category, they cost about the same yet perform on the rt615 level, maybe even better
