i agree. unless you are planning on putting it into a Z31. otherwise, we put the motors into S chassis cars cause they're cheap and light. the power/weight ratio alone in a Z32 would be enough to turn me away from the swap. it has been done, but theres a reason you hardly ever see it. you save money buying a stock TTZ, as opposed to swapping, fabbing up parts, finding all the correct parts, etc for an RB25. you have more power from the VG30 stock for stock.Kamin wrote:way too much work to be wort it in that chassis. waste of time and money IMO
It wasnt an RB20DE it was an RB20DET the car chasis was a z31 and the car was called the 200ZR which WAS released in japan, also following a VG20ET, VG30E, VG30ET, and a few other models with a total of about 5-6 models all named differently.pirate87 wrote:excuse me, it was an RB20DE in the Z31, but i believe that was only released in japan

there's a pic of the swap you're talking about
your in tampa right? go to zfever its near ramonjames stadium. and talk to them i bet they could do it for you. it would probly be really expensive but talk to them they might have done it b4 and could point you in the right direction.FoutchZ32 wrote:Has anyone sucessfully done this swap...everyone keeps shuttin down my idea cuz they say it cost too much money and the vg30dett is better which may be true about the money but is horse**** in regards to the vg being better. I want somethin different and i understand that it wil bel a costly investment and parts are hard to come by but im willing to look past that for the sake of the "wow factor". Please dont tell me that "anything is possible with enough money" and please in the name of all that is holy dont ask why... cuz i already told you.If anyone can give any kind of advice or if you've done the swap and care to give a basic layout of what you did to make it fit, and what to watch out for, etc. Thanks for any kind of advice that you can offer, even about the motor alone is helpful. All i need is a starting point. Thank you
