I am in the process of buying parts but need to make sure I get the right stuff so as not to waste money... So here is the deal.... I plan on making no less than 350hp to the wheels and it IS going to be a drift/ weekend toy. I was thinking for a rebuild o the head of going for a port-n-polish, BC springs retainers, valves and ARP Studs. I also am having cam issues. Also what is the best company to get these parts from??? I heard that BC cams aren't as good as some others and I don't really want to be buying a name. I heard 272 cams for exh. and int. are really good but need to doulbe check with anyone that has used this or a moderator. on the valves and what not...what sizes should I be looking for and I also have seen that BC has a Dual Spring kit out(anyone ever used these?).
for the block I was going to go with forged internals and thinking of going BC again. Forged crank, rods, and low comp pistons. Need help on picking these out. what would be a good compression ratio for a kat on stock bore or maybe .20 over, with aabout 350-400 whp and trying to run 7psi low and 20 on high. Keep in mind I'm shooting for bullet proof here. I saw some pistons that were 9.0-1 compression. But the crank and ****, I should be ok to go ahead and buy the standard crak size in a forged setup also standard sized forged rods? Also is BC really as good as they say or should Eagle and Comp be better? alot more Q's to come thanks guys...
