just picked up my new car and there was a piece of foam stripping where the dashboard meets the windsheild that is coming up. Didn't notice till I got home and dealer is about 1.5hrs away. It is pretty sticky, I tried to puch it down, but it is stuck to the windshield pretty good. Any ideas? I really don't want to take it back down there already for foam tape.

I will post some tomorrow. It has been a long day. But its weird, you only see half of it, the other half seems to be tucked away nicely, this is sticky out like a sore thumb.

When I was installing my intake... I had to remove the engine cover. When I put it back on... one of the screws kept screwing for some reason. Well at least I thought it was... what I was actually doing was warping it and the head of the hex bolt snapped off. So now my engine cover vibrates at idle. It's annoying the hell out of me. How do I take that broken bolt out of the engine and where would I get a new one from?

screw extractor. you drill a whole into the middle of the broken bolt. then screw the smaller "screw extractor" in the direction of loosen, counter clockwise. It will come out if done correctly. This is what an extractor kit looks like. http://www.brandsplace.com/0246-kd-2419.html

ouch, to tap a broken screw in the motor will take a super straight and steady hand. instead of buying a tap kit being the screw or bolt is so small, i would just find the smallest drill bit you can buy and it will take a long time, but drill into the screw as far as you can and take a smaller screw than the screw that's stuck and slowly screw it into your pilot hole in the stuck screw. you won't have to go far in, just enough to so the screw will bite. then while heavily pulling up on drill to create more friction back off the screw and hopefully both screws will come out together.

I know what you are describing. I had to pull this piece out to run my XM satellite antenna underneath. Mine was loose and pushed right back in place with a flat blade screwddriver. It didn't seem to have any adhesive, just held in place by friction/fit.

Back to my thread, thanks. Lol. I tried to puch it back with a flat head but there was adhesive on mine and it actually broke a little. I am just going to take it to the dealership and have them deal with it.
