i live in kennewick WA and they just passed this BS law that give police the right to use their personal discression when issuing an exaust violation. Basically in my town if you own a car thats not american muscle and police notice a shiny muffler, they give you a ticket. the police are acting like f...king tax collectors. anyways so is there an exhaust that i can but on my s13 240 w/ blacktop that will increase power but look and sound oem? or should i buy one of those switches that opens for a striaght pipe or closes for stock pipe? that way i flip the switch when i wanna race and bam straight pipes.

I had it on my KA and it sounded beautiful. I constantly had people asking me where I picked it up.

Now I'm rocking 5zigen Rocket 80mm and I must admit it doesn't sound as nice as my BRM, but it is bigger

I think the Apexi products are just the mufflers. I dunno about the Greddy. The Blitz is a full exhaust. It also sounds great. You also wanna try Megan or CS dual tips, they wont break the bank like the Blitz. This is coming from a guy with a Buddy Club Spec II

i was gonna suggest getting a circuit sports exhaust because its really, really quiet and the only time people will notice you have a big exhaust is when you floor it or if you're in a parking structure, you'll hear the vibrations(and set off a lot of car alarms ). but since you decided on the BRM, the 22 inch resonator should do the trick as well

I got a ticket in downtown Kennewick few months ago, had stock exhaust at the time but a magnaflow muffler welded on and the ticket cost me $140.

I have a full 3" exhaust from the manifold back now, I wonder if they will ticket me twice. Shouldn't the first one have been a "fix it" ticket?

Those kind of tickets are SO easy to beat. They count on the fact that most just go along with what they say and pay the ticket so they get their "tax".

dual tip will help your case for sure, they are more inclined to pull over someone with a large single tip muffler, even if its quieter

I would say get a Blitz Nur spec but...

go read the exact stipulations of that law in the city municipal code. there must be a loop hole you can step through.

Alright, let's let this sleeping dog lie. He chose an exhaust.
