Ok so, i live in jamaica and the ca18det engine is like an alien in this part of the world... now.. i damaged my clutch and is unable to get any locally.. it was already rebuilt here but the material used couldn't stand up..and the crank seal was leaking.hence making matters worst.. i have been searching online but honestly, i don't know which direction to go in.. so far i know the clutch is a 24 spline but the diameter i am not sure of... could someone shed some light on this..

I was looking at this one.. thinking it could fit.. but the diameter is 215mm same as my sr20de clutch..but when comparing my sr20de clutch with the ca18det one... the sr20 clutch was smaller... so i'm in the dark once again... can sum1 help me out please.. bcuz i don't want to import the wrong clutch and it cannot fit..... what are my options... i've already read about the sr20 flywheel conversion etc.. but i don't wanna go that route...

here's the clutch i was looking at..

Forget about SR anything when it comes to the CA. That clutch will make you hate your sentra (too radical). Which flywheel do you have? I may have something for you, but I need to know which flywheel you have.

I honesty and truly don't know.. but i took some pics and some measurements.. the engine in my car is like a puzzle... i have a ca from a s13 silvia in the garge and even the crank cover on that is shorter than the one in my car..the one in the car is waay lower..ridiculously lower.. even the colour wires to the ecu..does not match up with the ecu pinouts i found on the net.... anyhow... here are the pics of the flywheel..

11.5" (from one side to the next)

9.5" (the area where the clutch sits)

here's the clutch

ACT street/strip with a sprung hub through ebay. Shipping might be a killer though.

If your clutch disk is really 9.5 inches....thats 240mm....which if is what the SR uses. Im thinking the CA18DE uses 215mm, CA18DET uses 225mm discs, and your flywheel looks aftermarket so...you may infact already have an SR flywheel/clutch combo. All 3 should fit spline wise, 24 spline 1 inch is the size, but the 240mm will grab more of the flywheel.

Anyone else here have any input?

You guys got anything with KA's there? Like hardbodies or S13s? I remember being told quite some time ago that you can use KA clutches on CA flywheels if you pull a dowel pin for the pressure plate. Unless, like mbmbmb23 suggests, you have an SR20 setup goin on.

**Edit: Wait, you do have things with KA's then! The D21 Hardbodies for sure had a variant of the KA.

Yeah, I had a mid/late 80's D21 and it had a Z24 motor....basically a carbed variant of the SOHC KA24.

Ok.. should've updated this along time ago.. but work's got me pretty busy.. we were unable to get a ACT clutch kit as it would have to be a custom order.. and it would take ages to reach here... time that i don't have on my hand.. so instead we got a clutchnet kit.. I got this clutch.. http://www.clutchnet.com/produ...age=1

and so far it's holding up pretty well.. i've used this brand clutch b4 and had no probs.. hopefully this will be the same story... i really wanted a solid hub but i got the sprung one instead..... can't complain still... atleast i'm moving again... now it's a matter of tuning etc...etc.... Thanx Guys.
