Here is the ad for a 95' 240sx for $3500.

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/1764719349.html

I have cash in hand to go get it, my only issue is with the syncro's between 1st and 2nd gear. Can someone explain what those do as far as drive-ability, and if it would interfere with my driving.

Also how big of a deal is it to change those out? How much would it run me for a shop to fix it?

Do you think it's a good deal?

Thanks, Bryan

the syncros will affect drive-ability you'll get a grind till one day they s*** out and no longer have 1st or 2nd or either. but who knows how long thatll be. and the heater core is bypassed. so that prolly means its leaking. so if you dont mind not having heat ignore that. otherwise you might wanna get that fixed.

Yeah needs a heater core and a transmission rebuild or replacement (because once your in there you will find shift pad wear, bearing wear, yada yada yada). Probably cheaper to replace it, then while your in there you should do the rear main seal, and complete clutch kit. So if your handy and can do it yourself your looking anywhere from 700-1100 to fix..... but then after all that your got a car that you fixed that someone else probably beat on. Plus he rates the body a 6 of 10..... I think you can do better, save up another grand and get something much nicer.
