Well im going to the the stealership this friday for my transmission/synchro wine... i had this for a couple of weeks now... its just bothers me... its a whine from 3rd gear on 1.5-2.5k RPM at about 30MPH and into 4th at low rpms and crusin at around 60-70 on 5th.... its a whine that sounds like this....

3rd gear low rpm/speed and by the end shifting to 4th at low rpm/speedcruisin

anyway im going to have them check it out.. i hope it has something to do with my transmission coz thats under warranty..

now my question is I have mods in my car that i guess theyll see such as Intake, FSTB, Block off plate, NWP spacers (i dont think theyll notice this), y-pipe and my resonator/crimp removed... would they b**** about these mods? The only thing i can take off is the FSTB, Block off plate, and y-pipe.. should I? or dont even bother? What are your experiences with the stealership and seeing your mods?

Thanks in advance.. my car is 06 Altima MT w/ 43k miles

ps - i just recently found out (1st time trying last weekend) that topping off 3rd @ 100~110 and going to 4th, well it lets say its in gear but wont catch... any ideas? and yes i tried it a couple of times and made sure its in gear but wont catch..TOB maybe?? IDK...

Are you going to have warranty work performed? If not, and you're just going to Nissan to have them look at your Nissan, they shouldn't give you a quarrel, since you're going to be paying. Many people have problems when it's in-warranty work that's being done...

My guess is that they'll give you a hard time. A dealership can definitely make a case that the mods you've done have overstressed the transmission, therefore no coverage. I'd remove all that you can and keep your fingers crossed.
