Hey guys tomorrow I am going to do some work on the J30, looking for some advice, any help would be appreciated.
I have a few issues, listed below.
1. I have a broken turn signal, went to a local scrap yard and picked one up. He told me that he loosened up the studs, but they were rusted, and pried the turn signal out. Told me that the studs should be on my car when I remove the broken one. Told me to use some crazy glue and use the studs on my car. He also said that to install the turn signal, I should just loosen up the studs, and pry the light out... is this correct?
2. Having issues with the trunk opening. When I hit the button in the car, or the button on the alarm remote it makes a whining noise, pretty loud, but releases fine. However, it will not close unless I have someone hold the button and I push down on the trunk. Any ideas how to correct this?
3. I was putting my laptop into me car while I was in a rush, and I banged the corner of the laptop into the Bose stereo deck pretty hard. I hit the CD eject button, and now it is stuck in and does not work, its stuck in and pressing it does nothing. Any suggestions how to fix the button or pop it out or something? Is there anyway to eject a CD besides the eject button? Been listening to the same CD for about a month, and its awful.
Sorry about the length guys but I am a college student and pretty much broke, but I love me J30 and I want to fix the minor problems she has. I've owned the car for about 3 years, and I love it, 175K and she is reliable and drives great, people can't believe its a 93.
Ok THANKS GUYS, I appreciate any suggestions, you guys and this forum rocks!
