hey guys wuts goin on?

Iam a member of nissanclub, and I just registered here, and I need some advice from 350Z owners!.

If this thread is in the wrong place , please move it. thx.

Well just like the title says...

Right now I own a 05 Altima SE-R 5at... with only 14,000 miles. With nissans gold 100,000 mile warranty.

well...

Iam inlovee with the 350z and I like it a LOT...I test drove one today and its awesome!.

I wanna trade in my car for a 350z 6MT!...

I do love my altima SE-R... but the 350z is really messing up my head.. .. and the SE-R is automatic( NO FUN ) .. and I want manual so insted of going and tradeing it in for a 6 speed it wouldnt be worth it.. so I thought a 350z would be a better pick.

Whatt do you guys think I should do!!???

I could look into the evo n all that.. but I like the 350 better , luxary inside, fast. RWD.. etc... wut do u guys say I do??? keet the SE-R.. take the 350Z( ) or look at other cars.. What would you do?

thx

Welcome to Nico!

...you came to the 350z section asking what to do...duh 350Z all the way!

the auto has to really hurt the poor altima, if you have the means and it fits you're lifestyle by all means go get a Z! and if the back seat is an issue for you consider the G35, very small price difference and very similar styling lines, but you get the functional back seat.....but me I love the 2 seater Z

I don't think anyone here needs to sell the idea of owning it to you. In fact, it sounds like you're already sold on it. If you have the means and it can accomodate your needs, then all you need to do is pull the trigger. If you have any specific questions, you've definitely come to the right place.

Altima SE-R's are very fun cars but don't compare to a 350Z. Sell the Alty and get a 350!

roadster = soft top convertiblebase = 350z with no nav, no brembos, base wheels (if its an 06 they have those sexy 5 spokes) touring = brembos, nav, all that luxury and the 06 i believe come with the rays 5 spokes. track = dropped for the 06 + 350z.enthusiast = also dropped? im not clear on that one

im assuming you are referring to get a brand new or at least a 2006+ Z?

07 Zs come in base, enthusiast, touring and grand touring. The track model was dropped (it was the 2nd most expensive of the trims). IIRC, all trims except base comes with VDC. I may be wrong but I think the roadster trims are the same for 07...enthusiast, touring, and grand touring.

I would reccomend you checking Nissan's US website so you can compare the trims side by side. Build and price one so you can get an idea.

I wish I had some extra money...i'd get an 06 or 07 Redline Z 6MT

If you're a performance minded enthusiast....Track model is the only sensible choice.

ye deff, Im feeling the 05 track version... I like the 06 but, more money$. Maybe if i find a good deal

btw.. I was looking at the touring, and track versions.. like 04-05.. om they dont come with brembos, like somebody here ^ mentioned. prbly the 06's and up??...

so the difference between a 05 touring and 05 track.. is the 286hp VS 300hp? is that the only difference?

Thx for helping guys!

All track models come with the brembo brakes. If a Z is advertised as a track model and doesn't have the brembos then its falsely advertised. Also, all track models have the forged rays (volk) wheels and cloth interior for weight savings.

You can find 03 Track Models for quite cheap with low miles if you shop around on the net. That's the route I would go.

The Grand Touring model also comes with the brembos but has leather, navi, bigger stereo, all kinds of junk you don't need that only slows the car down and takes away from the sports car roots.

Go Track or go home.

The brakes are worth quite a bit extra cash. If you get anything but the Track and want to add power( FI ) then you will most likely want to upgrade your brakes. Aftermarket Big Brake upgrade are high.

That said the OEM brakes on the Eenthusiast 6 speed work great at the stock power output. So if your not going to drop a bunch of $ for big power upgrades then you will be ok.

If you get a used 350z go for anything but the Base and you will love it.
