Although the four accumulators were replaced in May 2009 at the Q’s 152,000 mile point, she’s riding rough these past 10,000 miles.

I want to be sure about the following parts and estimated cost and labor hours involved to stage and budget for the repair. The following is a table of the parts that I've discussed months ago with Keith Bowers, a.k.a. TexasOil. However, he's not returned my recent emails about this topic which he's been expert.

BTW, is there a way of using Nissan bolt-on replacement parts from a 300 or 350Z? My shade tree mechanics won't accept the liability of altering any of these or other non-OEM replacement parts.

Parts Quantity Total
Bolt-on-ready Bottom rubber bushings (2000 Nissan Z350?) 4
Seals for the top of strut 4
Dust boots 4
AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid 5 65
Other?

Other?
Labor Hours 8

Thanks in advance for your reply and help to get me active again!

just purchase the active to standard suspension kit from Infiniti of Scottsdale and forever forget about complex expensive suspension problems......plenty of other areas on old Q to keep you busy without worrying about the active suspension woes.

I'm surprised you haven't been able to reach Keith. Have you tried calling him?

Some parts from the 300ZX do fit on a Q45. Some members have used some performance parts for the 300ZX on their Q.

You'll want to check pricing at I.O.S. (Infiniti of Scottsdale):
http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/partloc ... &year=2007

FRONT DUST BOOTS (Active Suspension)
Part Number: 55242-67U00
I.O.S. Price: $27.12 each

REAR DUST BOOTS (Active Suspension)
Part Number: 54055-67U00
I.O.S. Price: $22.12 each

Fluid A - Active Suspension Fluid (Genuine Nissan)
Part Number: E2901-62U01
I.O.S. Price: $11.25 (1 liter)

I don't know if these are what you asking about :gotme

BUMPER ASSY - BOUND FRONT (Active Suspension)
Part Number: 54050-62U20
I.O.S. Price: $22.20 each

BUMPER ASSY - BOUND REAR SUSPENSION (Active Suspension)
Part Number: 55240-62U20
I.O.S. Price: $41.02 each

1. How much fluid are you losing, from where and how often?
2. How many of your actuators are leaking and which ones?

Oh thanks LINO for your detailed post and the pics of your beautiful Active Q!

The pricing from I.O.S. seems fantastic! I thought this would take many more $$$.

I will try to call Keith B. as I'm concerned that he's not replied to my posts the past couple months.

The following is one of his posts regarding my rough ride on this same topic of the leaky struts (BTW, though there appears leakage on the struts, there is almost no fluid loss, and ACTSYS light isn't on), but this is still confusing to me...!

Thanks again for your advice, suggestions, and encouragement!

You have it right. The bottom rubber bushing will be an aftermarket
solution (perhaps from the ZX 350).

I am sourcing the seals for the TOP of the strut where the shaft
slides in/out and where oil leaks from--when the dust boots have not
been replaced when cracked.

There is an O-ring for the high pressure seal and a spring loaded lip
seal (this is the one that leaks to the ground).

This lip seal holds back the 'measured leak' bleed (plus any getting past the high pressure O-ring seal) -that is supposed to go out the side pipe connection and back to the small 'can' filter ( very fine knitted
mesh+pleated paper) mounted on the multi-valve and then on to the
reservoir.

Keith is fine. No need to worry. Things have been extremely busy for him though.

I should be able to help you further. Is there any way I can call you?
