2003 G35 Coupe.

Ok so my evaporator busted.. it vented R134A into my cabin. I took apart the dash (to save on labor) and took it to a shop to get the AC box disassembled fixed and reassembled.

The shop fixed the AC and before I left the shop I hooked up my AC controls and tested it. It worked great as long as I had it set at 60 Degrees.. anything higher and it blew out warm air.

I thought that it must be that it needed all of the sensors hooked up for it to function properly so I left happy that it was fixed.

I reassembled the dash and all of the sensors and it still will only engage the compressor/blow cold if it's set at 60 Degrees!! anything above 60 and it's warm.

it's like the three little bears... to hot or to cold.. never just right.

WTF is wrong? I need to know so I can fix it or take it back to the shop and have them fix it.

Please help!

sounds like you have a temp sensor broken

60 is the default ON since it is the lowest setting

just my guess

Code says the "In Vehicle Sensor" is malfunctioning.

thats just exactly what i thought it was...the temp sensor for inside the car. Thinks its already below the set level so it doesn't turn on the AC compressor unless its at the default always on setting of 60

You still haven't explained HOW you busted the evaporator? Eventually they do leak from acidic oil eating from the inside out but that takes 10 years without help.

^ I don't know it was 100 degrees out and I was going 80 - 90 mph on the highway and bam.. it vented the R134 into the cabin with a hissing sound.
