Please tell me that my transmission isn't really supposed to shift like this. In 5mph - 10mph - 5mph driving (pretty much most of my drive to and from work) this thing bucks and bogs and vibrates, then I have to give it extra gas to get it to take off again.

I KNOW that Infiniti could not have possibly designed that transmission to shift like that. What can I tell my local dealership to look at?

odd, never seen that. Have them test it and monitor transmission operation, you may get a new valve body. is your service light on? Its under warranty, take it to the dealer.

No light. Car has less than 10k miles. Took it to the dealer once and they said that Infinity designed the transmission to do that to save on gas.

BS! Making a car bog and jump does not save gas.

Uh oh...are you experiencing something close to this??

http://forums.g35club.org/zerothread/399633

He posted a vid of it near the end of the thread..

I hope this is not going to become a common problem if it is...but rather aq couple isolated incidents.

Still sucks that it has to happen to anyone...

Wow..that is awful!

No. Mine is at lower speeds and it is more of a transmission malfuntion than they engine jumping like that.

Notice the high RPM is car is idleing at. Also, he is really low on gas!

Open the door and at the bottom of the bpillar you'll see a sticker with the vin, color code, production date, etc. You should go to another dealer, it doesn't seem normal.

Take your husband up there and put a little bit of pressure on them. It's obviously not normal operation, keep being persistent.

If needed, I'll come screeching up in the big white truck and yell at them for ya.

Yee Haw....thanks kiddo!

Sticker says 01/08.

I guess an Infiniti doesn't have a build sheet like a GM product. I found mine for my Z under a seat. It has the exact time production was started and finished and all the options and stuff that was put on it. It is pretty cool to have.

You guys are the best!

I'm headed to sunny Florida next week so it will be a little while before I can get it by there. I will let y'all know what they say. I might get on the service department floor and have what we southeners call a hissy fit!
