Ok so when I was at the track this weekend, I started to run a little hot.. Pulled off the track, and my radiator was leaking a tiny bit... Up on the upper radiator hose the fitting was starting to crack, and it was leaking a bit too where the end tank meets the core... I put some epoxy on it so I could drive home (10 hours, 600 miles)..

Anyone have any suggestions or good experiences on radiators? Id really like to get an all-metal one so that I dont have to worry about replacement...

I did a little searching and found none that I would trust in my car. Only help I can give you that your probably already know is to a get a radiator without the side transmission cooling tanks and make sure its bigger to take up the space that the the tanks occupied.

OEM is ~$500 plus shipping, but if you want I will give you my last Facebook code if you go the Infiniti Of Scottsdale route.

Considering how long the factory plastic end tank radiators last {I got 11 years out of mine} I am not sure limiting yourself to a "all metal" one really buys you anything- that said, CSF makes a all metal model for our Q45 at inexpensive prices- I went with the CSF plastic/metal model and so far at over 3 years it has been great, especially at the low price of less than $200.......even if I only get 4-5 years out of it, it is cost effective. Search the Inet carefully, as the prices for the CSF rads are all over the map, from bargains to well overpriced for the exact same model.....I believe they all come with a lifetime warranty, whatever that is worth-

hmm, on www.autopartswarehouse.com the CSF comes with a 12/12k warranty, whereas the silla is $50 more and comes with a lifetime warranty... wonder if that would be worth it?

"A limited life time warranty"

Everything depends on the skills of the operator as fair as cooling system maintenance and ph+ testing is concerned.
Most plastic end tanks fail from system overheating.
Install a REAL gauge.

hmm, might explain why it failed on the track.. Maybe the investment for a real all aluminum radiator might be worth it because I plan on revisiting the track...

ultimately I want something thats going to keep me cool under really hard driving but still work decently for daily driving... I didnt think I would have that much issue with overheating on this track because I was moving pretty decently... 120 on the main stretch, and usually around 60 in many of the turns..

I bought my CSF from Radiator Barn. Great price, excellent quality, metal end tanks. Did well in sweltering midwest heat. Half hour install.

Almost any replacement rad will perform better than a fin bent, leaf and trash filled, interior/exterior corroded oem unit older than 7-10 years.
After all 10>15% DEGRADATION FROM DESIGN sure beats 20% from age.

It is really difficult to measure without exotic test equipment since we are only talking about a 3F differential temperature between input and outlet. 1F is roughly 5% change in efficiency.

My Griffin [11 year old] may be suffering the same degradation, probably has taken longer since the alloy and fins and body are thicker, so my 10% improvement over oem at age may be gone and any new rad might perform better???????

The CSF Radiators seem to be a good bang for the buck- so far I am happy at over 3 years and 65,000+ miles for the $$$$ spent.
