I've got a redtop SR in a non-hicas car. The power steering was working until recently when the pump siezed up, and the pulley and belt fell off on the highway. Now I need a new pump, pulley, and belt.

I need to know if I can use a pump from a ka24de, or if the power steering pump is SR specific. I also need to know if there's different pumps for hicas and non-hicas cars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The KA24DE pump will work if you get the bracket that bolts on the front of the pump off a SR pump. The HICAS and non-HICAS pumps are different, you can also use a HICAS pump but you have to modify it to work for non-HICAS.

Well like I said, there's already an SR pump on there, I'm just looking for a replacement. You're saying the DE pump will bolt right up to the SR brackets? Thanks for your help.

Well that's laying on the highway somewhere haha. Can I get a custom length belt to match up with the SR crank pulley and the KA p/s pump? Or are there a different number of ribs?

I believe the KA has 4 ribs and a S13 sr uses 3....im not a 100% sure, but me and a couple Sr guys from my area were discussing this the othe day, and it was mentioned in the conversation that the bracket and pulley were needed if using a KA pump.

$150 for an SR pump vs $30 for a KA pump... I'll do a little more work.

The KA will work on the Sr. Just swap the mounting bracket on your Sr's pump to the Ka pump and you'll be golden. You don't have to swap the pulley if it has the same amount of ribs as the crank pulley. Otherwise you'll need a pulley puller to do that.
