My car failed a state inspection (MA) for emissions and it would appear that I need a new catalytic conveter. I have been looking into the possibility of a high-flow cat but I cant find any reliable answers to my questions. Would a high flow cat be as good as a stock one as long as the old cat was the only problem? Also, does anyone know any vendors that have reasonably good high flows?

I think this is the right forum for this, but I haven't been around too long, so sorry if it isn't.

A hi-flow cat (if magnaflow/catco one) is oem equiv/better than a stock cat. Those are CARB legal, which are strictest of all I suppose.

you can get one off ebay if you wanna weld yourself.

Or you can get another stock one from another 240.

Or you can ask Greg/AZHitman about getting one, I got both of mine from him - measured to length w/ spinning flanges so you don't have to clock any flanges... carb legal.

Perfect.
