Still not running right. Don't won't to just throw parts at it. Very rough idle. I did change the fuel filter which solved the no acceleration issue, but now it runs rough unless at WOT.

Couldn't come to the meet due to prior scheduled engagement, plus the Q wasn't accelerating at all. I had bought a "good MAF" from a NICO member add when the car wasn't accelerating, which didn't fix the problem. When I changed the fuel filter it was 100% clogged. I have only driven the Q about 100 miles since the filter replacement, and I wonder if maybe I need to change the filter again and drop the tank to completely remove any additional contamination that may be lurking inside the tank. It literally acts likes it is missing at low rpm's, but then it it is fully functional at WOT. I also just had to replace the battery due to not accepting a charge. I will probably run the car to Stan's electric, and have the alternator scoped to make sure it isn't fried. When do you go back to Angola?

Classes resume the 9th...

Have you tried the MAF plug diagnosis (wiggling while idling and see if it changes it)

I don't know how to check them, but there is no fuel smell. I'm not adverse to driving to Anderson, I just don't want to monopolize your time during your christmas break. Come to think of it, the Q idled only slightly rough when I drove back from Ohio, although it wouldn't accelerate. I then changed the MAF and the TPS from another Q that I had at the time which had a bad engine on the advise from Infiniti of Scottsdale. Both the MAF and the TPS were unknown. My original MAF went with the parts car when I sold it. When I changed the fuel filter, the car idled real rough, that is when I bought the MAF from the other NICO member, it improved the idle but not completely. I then had problems with the battery dying, so I parked it for the last 8 weeks or so.

I read that procedure, but I think I will go get a new volt meter in the morning, as mine is very old, and if I remember correctly, it smoked the last time I used it. I will let you know how them ohm out. Thanks

Using the ohm procedure, only one of my reading was in spec, the other 7 were way high. It looks like I need all new injectors, what do you recommend.

Most recomment new injectors as you do not want to do the labor twice . It's going to be expensive to repalce thay many. At least you can save on labor, with Wes' help.

Rex: Since it shows that many injectors out of range, could it be the harness and not the actual injectors?

you can verify by measuring resistance on the injector itself.

fusq,

Yep, you can easily pull the harnesses from the #1, #2, (at front of plenum)and #8 (passenger side rear) injectors and measure them directly.

Did you clean out your TB ? Mine ran like a total POS until I cleaned it, the EGR might need it too. Also the IAC might be dirty/maladjusted. Try fixing the basics first, it's much cheaper... and you'll have a base line to start from. All easy stuff to start with.

Injector cleaner too!

I will probably replace all eight injectors. Does it matter what color code, as long as they are the same? I was also thinking I read a thread on this forum of someone using the improved injectors from a 94-95 in a 90-93, is this a possible solution?
