Hopefully this is the last time that I have to ask for help in this regard, but there is another rolling chassis that I am very interested in buying - it's in that area. Since I'm from Iowa, it's unjustifyable for me to pay for a round-trip plane ticket to look at a rolling chassis. I need a favor from a local to check it out for me. I have already spoken to the owner and he is more than willing to allow someone to show up and perform a thorough visual inspection for me. I can Paypal you gas money if you'd like. The sooner this can be arranged, the better. I would be very appreciative of any help that I receive. Thanks!

I'm 2 hours away. I'm heading there in 2 weeks for my tune. I do have a guy in my FB group that lives there. I'll ask him. Don't know how deep his knowledge goes

Man, I'd really appreciate that - thanks for asking him. It's ok if he's not too knowledgeable with Z's, I can give him pointers on things to look for :)

Who's tuning your Z - Harry or Ash? Wish I had someone within 2 hrs of me that specialized in Z tuning.

Last I heard he was having Harry do it.

My. Thoughts. Exactly. *sigh*

I'm just going to have to wait for all the Louisiana Z's to be done so SZ can come down.

Yea, tell me about it Mark. I guess guys in St. Louis are gearing up to have SZ come over next month but that's too soon for me unless I buy that chassis like this week and do a quick install :(

On a side note, it looks like shipping will be just under $1000 from FL to IA. FML. Wish there was a closer option but I'll keep calling around for quotes while I wait for a generous fellow Z'er to agree to take a peak at the rolling shell for me :naughty:

Update - I made an offer on this car yesterday. He counter-offered and I accepted! I am waiting on proof of title before paying and still need to do some more shipping co shopping but I'm hoping to have the Z here in about 2 weeks. I've got my work cut out for me - still gotta finish stripping my old Z and towing it to get it scrapped to make room for the new Z. Not to mention I need to balance time between working mandatory overtime, house projects, and regular life. I also need to set a budget to keep myself in-line. It's so tempting to buy full breather mods to complement my sport 500's but I still need plenty of other items besides just "go fast" parts :)

I'll start a new build thread when I get around to it with my full story. Right now I'm torn between just getting everything bolted up and running vs taking my time to powder coat everything and upgrade parts. Decisions...
