two days ago I was driving back to college from back home- 45 min drive. On the way I stopped to get gas a a Delta gas station. I usually don't use Delta but it was on the way. I filled it up with premium 93 octane as always. I drove up to the school and then about an hr later I went out for a quick drive around the corner. Everything seemed perfect with my Q until I came out of the store and was on my way home. As i reversed out of my parking spot the engine was shaking and the response from me giving it gas was sluggish. Since then My Q hasnt stopped driving sluggish. I cant even really drive over 60 because even when I hit the gas the car just doesnt really respond. The engine also sounds horrible and shakes ALOT. Help me! I hate taking my Q to mechanic shops because I dont trust them at all. I might end up gpin to Kieth but my money is prettty tight right now so I'd like to delay that trip to Kieth Van Meter until the summer.

Well two years ago when my I first got the car my father put regular gas in it and it drove just like this so I'm guess maybe its something similar but Im not sure. Is there and easy way to check the injectors and MAF?

Cold weather? So you jumped in the car, started it and drove immediately a very short distance and shut it off? Any gasoline in your oil?

Yes cold weather but I had been driving it for about 20 minx. THen stopped to get gas, then drove it for another half hr. Parked it for 30 mins. Drove it for about 10 mins. n then when I got back into it all that stuff started. Nah no gasoline in the oil but I did do a recent oil change.

Good thinking. Not so much Techron, but some ISO-HEET to absorb any possible water in the gasoline. Ethanol promotes water accumulation in underground tanks.

ISO-HEET first - cheap n easy.

yea thats what i meant sorry. But maybe afterwards techron (tank after if problem persists) since i know sometimes old deposits from the bottom of your tank can come clog injectors (had it happen to my old stanza) and fuel injector cleaner cleaned them right out

Fuel pump sock and fuel filter should prevent tank debris from entering injectors. Never seen a injector cleaner make tank bottom debris melt or magically disappear.

Boy, that's the truth. Even a fine barely visible coating on the bottom of the tank portends sooner pump failure.

Observe very carefully the next time you change the pump.

Thanks for the help. I qwill go pick uo some ISO-HEET from the local auto supply store im guessing. I really do think its just the gasbecause two years ago when I first bought the car my father borrowed it and was convinced that I didnt need to put 91 octane + in it so he put 89 octane gas in it and it ran just like this for about two weeks. I hate to drive my Q around that long with it shaking and not wanting to accelerate past 60.
