After doing research on other makes and models for a potential purchase, I've decided to go with a 90-92 Z.

I'll most likely be going N/A, 5 speed, 2 seat. TT if I get an awsome offer for how much I'm willing to spend ($5500 NO MORE - Idealy $4200 for an N/A).

What to look out for when buying a used Z? Anybody have a recommended maintenance schedule?

The average mileage I see on these cars in the price range I'm looking in is between 130k and 160k. Are there any recommendations for purchasing one at that mileage?

What's the most costly repair other than the obvious engine or transmission replacement?

What should I stay away from (besides the obvious)?

Anyones input is well appreciated!

engine work tends to be pricey, according to my bro who owns a '91 z32tt

This place might be better suited for your question.

Comeback when your z32 is failing emissions .

I was originally going to post in the general Z forum first, but seeing that the last post was yesterday....

I should put an asterisk next to that. It could happen sooner, which is why I'm doing my research now so it's not last minute.

I'm not worried about getting work done cost wise, but I just want to know what to expect so there's no BIG surprises like with my Q (well that wasn't really a surprise).
