the 240sx TB can unually be found at your local salvage yard, the altima IIRC, has the same TB

an intercooler should come before a larger turbo, as should MLS headgasket, ARP headstuds, enjectors, fuel pump and engine managment, the stock bits can only hold as much as the stock turbo makes, a larger turbo will exceed the capacity of all the other bits

as for an intercooler I'm a fan of the treadstone vertical flow units, less piping than a crossflow and they are actually more efficient than the crossflow as well

So for a couple quick hp's without breaking the bank I should do the altima TB and an fmic...exhaust too obviously. But is there anything else? And what year altima is that TB on?

I believe any altima wiht the ka24, also the ka24 stanza

if you want to make hp with that car the intercooler should be first on your list, I like the treadstone but any beats none, next get a boost controller and a boost gauge, wiht the intercooler you can get up to around 13 psi before maxing out the fuel system, this will get you making 230-260 whp, keep in mind that stock this car made around 150 whp, a cone air filter and a freeflowing exhaust will help you to get every hp possible but on their own wont add much at all

Got it! One more question do you know anyone that has an adapter for the TB? Or a blueprint so I can make it?

oh yeah if you want to keep the stock ilde air circuit you have to have the spacer block, it's just a square with an angled piece at top to flush mount the idle air tube flange

manual boost controller is fine, without the addition of an intercooler you'll get ping around 9 psi, with an intercooler you can run 13 psi from the stock turbo no problem, the headgasket and headlift become an issue as you approach 300 whp, which is more than you are likely to get from the stock turbo, with an aftermarket turbo you can lift the head and/or blow the headgasket which is why the headgasket and headstuds need to be upgraded, the stock head if fine and can take all the abuse you can throw at it, it does become a limiting factor around 400 whp, if your goal is 400 whp you need to plan on some port and cam work, and forged pistons for the bottom end

Ya 400 plus is the plan after basic but for now I'm fine with a B controller fmic and the TB. I just need to find the spacer. For it
