My faithful '93 Q45 is finally having injector trouble (135K). So, I need to fix it with rebuilt injectors, or convert over to 94-96 style injectors. A while back I procured 12 new, OEM 94-96 injectors, 8 of which are earmarked for my '90 renovation which is underway. So, were I to buy 4 more new, OEM injecors I could convert my '93. Might anybody have any new OEM injectors for sale?

Also, with the addition of our 4th adopted child I haven't been keeping up with the Forum as well - has there been any recent news or big tips on converting to 94-96 injectors beyond the classic posts from a while back?

Thanks, James Busbin, [email protected] (828)538-4080

Hello Lino,

Thanks for the references to all the recent posts - I will study all this carefully.
As far as my '94 Q45a, it's been absulutely trouble-free for two years. It does happen to be in the shop right now - my service manager made me a real deal on removing all 9 accumulators (business is slow for them right now). So, I had them pull all 9 and sent them to Keith Bowers for re-charging. I should have the car back soon - hope the ride is really improved after a $1,500 investment!

James

I remember that day I received my 9 accumulators from Keith. It was the best day of my car's life. I asked a friend for the key's to his business and asked his top mechanic if he'd do the job. They both agreed and we went on on a Saturday since they are normally closed so that way we had the entire place to ourselves. After we completed the job we went out for a road test and that was when the magic happened. The mechanic could not believe how the car drove. The car was so well planted in the corners and the Active system at the time was working flawlessly. We were in an industrial park with no one else around so we really put the car to the test. It was a great day. I can't wait until you get yours back and I'd love to hear how yours turns out. Keith is a super guy and I trust you'll be very happy. Please keep us posted.
