Guys,

Have 95 240SX SE with SR20DET with open DIFF. I believe it has a 4.1 final ratio.

Will swap in an S15 Spec R Helical LSD and I want to go to the 3.6 final drive ratio of JDM Silvia SR20 M/T cars.

I believe I will need to switch the ring and pinon gear.

Question 1: Is that all I need to do to switch the final gear ratio?

Question 2: Where do I get them?

THANKS in advance!

1) I believe it is.

2) G50 Q45 had 3.54 ratio (close enough). I may be mistaken, but I believe the R&P can be used.

If yours is stock, you have a 3.96 ratio. I'm also thinking you MIGHT be able to use JUST the ring gear, as I recently did an HLSD that way.

I have a ring and pinion that came from a JDM s15 LSD, I have swapped a 4.625 in that casing last summer, and put the original gears in gear oil for storage. I don't remember if it was a 3.6 or a 3.9 ring an pinion, but the teeth were mint (from a car that had less than 36k km), if you are interested e-mail me with an offer and I can send you pictures. I go to NY every 2 months, so I could ship it from there.
