Need 240SX Information

:help I have purchased a 1989 240SX and would like to make it my dream car. The body and engine are sound and pretty much without any issues, but not being a "car person" I am uncertain as to how to improve the car. I do not want a "Fast and Furious" car, but would like it to catch some attention. I would like to do all work myself, or as much as possible. I am looking for a mentor or guide, who can give me the right way to go...
