Howdy,

I bought 4 of the OEM 5 spoke q45t 17x17.5's off ebay, Unfortunately, one has a wobble. Any suggestions as to where I could grab one? Preferably not a recalled one. Called Scottsdale, they have none. No singles on ebay now. Saw some for $300 per on the web. Hoping I could do better. Seeing as I paid $300 delivered for the other good ones, still not a bad deal. Hoping I could do better. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Weren't there some parts yards that specialize in Infiniti's? Gator something or other?

Thanks

SG

That there comment is funny brings back a few young immature crazy solutions to my problems when I was a youth where if I had acted on my crazy solutions there is not telling where I would be today....I guess the fear of my parents kept me from acting out those crazy actions of mine :D

Not trying to play "Stump the Infiniti Experts", but it turns out that the 5 spoke 17x17.5's come in two different finishes, one for the Anniversay edition and a dif one for the T model. Wanting to get a matching set, so, can anybody tell me how to differentiate between the two (outside of a visual comparison). Are there different ID markings on the inside of the wheels? George Harte Infiniti parts desk and Infinity Consumer Affairs were unable to find anything.

There is an outfit that can retrue alloy wheels- and refinish to factory specs.

http://www.wheelcollision.com

I picked up a set of 4 300ZX TT wheels from them- they also fix your wheels. These guys don't just hammer on the wheels, but seem like they do it right (heating to ensure there are no stress fractures, etc)

They also do a swap of an old wheel for a new one if they have it in stockl.

Give em a call.

Ard, thanks I'm already in touch with them. :)I'm sending them the wobbly one and getting a true one (hopefully) in exchange, net of about $250. With that and the $300 I paid for the other 3 good ones I'm still ahead. Local dealership quoted me $565 (aprox) for a new one and Joe was about $100 less. Will post pics when they are done.

On a side question, when discussing tire size with tire rack, they mentioned that the 245/45 17's will leave a 1/4" bigger gap in the wheel well than the current stock setup. I was looking to fill up the well more than the current. Has anybody done 50's or 55's on a 17" wheel on a Q?

I'm running 245/50 VR 16s on 16x7.5 rims.

I didn't want to reduce the side walls any further.

You should look at the specs on tirerack.com- they list the tire diamters for all tires - don't rely on the salesman for this info... the 245-45-17 looks to be 0.4" in diamter smaller than stock. (Of course this will vary a bit with model and wheel width.
