Just wondering if I do the SR swap what gauges are absolutely necessary? I figure boost, afr, and fuel pressure. But please leave some feedback on what is necessary and what is recomended. Tried to do a search, but it came up with like a billion threads.

I have just a boost gauge right now, but water temp and A/F are comming real soon. After that, when you reach a higher level of tune oil pressure, EGT, and fuel pressure are nice.

How worried are you about the quality of your install? If everything is fine, you really only need a tach, speedo and fuel gauge. When you tweak is when the extra info can help.

I went with EGT, boost and oil pressure. It would be nice to have an oil and water temperature gauge. Oh yeah, I have a basic A/F gauge just incase the car ever leans out.

EGT, Boost, and oil press. seems to be a very popular and safe combo.

With a turbo, you ALWAYS need a boost gauge. No matter what. No matter how bad *** you think you are at install. Freak accidents like the wg vac line popping off etc that can destroy your motor in a matter of SECONDS of WOT.

This is very true. My wastegate line popped off and all of a sudden my car felt a lot more powerful. My first thought was that the clutch had finally broken in and was grabbing like it should. Turns out I was making ~20psi at WOT. Without the boost gauge, I would have kept driving around like that.
