And can usually diagnose myself but just need a little bit of input..

I have a 92 hatch with an SR..

BUT the problem is, I am looking to pick up a 89 hatch with a SR in it

The bads: the car has been nothing but problems for me and now <b>the starter is not working you can turn motor by hand and it might even work it just locks up like every other time you start the car.</b>

Does this just sound like the starter and water pump...? I think this is a good deal, I just want a little input.. I know he says that the car has been nothing but problems, but Im somewhat mechanically inclined, and most people around my parts are ignorant aliens.

for 2500 it sounds like a good deal, the swap alone can cost that much...

....forgot to mention Im getting the car in a trade..

I dont want to aquire on impulse.. then turn around and sell it(even though it is a good deal)
If I get this car Im tearing apart my old hatch..

BUT does it sound like only the starter and water pump..
He says he can crank it by hand(LOL trq wrench ftw).. and the water pump is leakin out of the weep hole.. two very easy fixes.. Does this sound like a common problem or does somethin seem super fishy? If I were to pick it up, I'd lose my dd(95 volvo 960)..
