My G20 has a highly irritating squeak coming from the driver's side wheel. It happens at all speeds and sounds like metal on metal like worn brakes. But the brakes were checked as fine. The noise goes away when the wheels are turned to the right, and the noise itself is intermittant. What could cause this? It's amazingly annoying.

The CV axle on that side was just resealed and regreased by the dealer so it should be good.

the "just" part of your comment concerns me! if it was recently done at dealer, take it back for them to diagnose, they should be able to tell you if it is related.if the boot was torn for some time before resealing, the dirt injestion usually destroys the joint, and it should be replaced, not just relubed and resealed.

Interesting. It had been squeaking for a while prior to this work being done, and the CV axle on the other side was replaced when I bought the car. I'm definately going to have it looked at.
